Privacy Policy

1. The short version
MortgageCostCalc.com runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type — home value, down payment, rates, dates — are processed on your own device and are never sent to our servers. We do not require accounts, we do not set cookies, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect, store, or sell personal information. The Site has no sign-up, no forms that submit data to us, and no tracking pixels. Standard web-server logs maintained by our hosting provider may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested; these logs are used only for security and capacity purposes.
3. Calculations stay on your device
All mortgage math, the payment schedule, the CSV export, and the print/PDF output are generated locally in your browser. Downloaded files are created on your device and never pass through our servers.
4. Share links
The “Copy Link” feature encodes your calculator inputs into the link's address so the scenario can be restored later. Anyone you give that link to can see those inputs, and — like any web address — the link may appear in server and browser logs. Do not share a link if you consider the figures in it confidential.
5. Third-party services
The Site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font files, Google's servers receive your IP address and standard request headers. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles that data. The Site uses no other third-party services.
6. Children's privacy
The Site is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for example, if we ever add analytics — this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change takes effect.
